Ah-heh. Outwardly supportive, inwardly just a little apprehensive. He often wonders if growing up among humans has given his children a different sense of time than his, and he's likely not wrong.

Live and learn, and some things really only can be learned the hard way. Plus Ruairi doesn't see much good coming out of telling his children to be cautious and self-protective, holding themselves back from relationships. So he watches, listens and supports.

And it's not all bad, there is a next generation. Seems like the MacEibhirs are doing their part to keep puca in the mortal world for good. However wise that may or may not be.

Also, confusing the hell out of an Orl in the process. That has to be worth something.
